Surgical Oncologist

Job Summary The Surgical Oncologist is responsible for diagnosing staging and surgically treating cancer patients The role involves performing oncologic surgeries coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring comprehensive patient care before during and after surgery Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed patient evaluations diagnostic tests and biopsies Plan and perform complex oncologic surgeries e g breast gastrointestinal thoracic or head neck Collaborate with medical and radiation oncologists for integrated treatment plans Manage post-operative care monitor recovery and address complications Participate in tumor boards and case discussions for treatment planning Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols Educate patients and families on diagnosis treatment options and prognosis Stay updated with advancements in surgical oncology and participate in clinical research Qualifications Requirements Education M B B S with M S D N B in General Surgery and M Ch D N B in Surgical Oncology Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Surgical Oncologist depending on hospital level Skills Expertise in oncologic surgical techniques Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities Excellent teamwork and communication skills Empathy and patient-centered approach Work Type Full-time ConsultantCompensation As per industry standards Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay Up to 550 000 00 per year
