Consultant – Uro-oncology Surgery

This role is for one of our clients Industry Hospitals and Health Care Seniority level Mid-Senior level Min Experience 5 years Location Durgapur JobType full-time Role Overview We are seeking a highly competent and visionary Uro-Oncology Surgeon to lead the surgical management of genitourinary cancers within our advanced oncology care program This role involves delivering precision-based minimally invasive surgical care for urological malignancies while actively contributing to multidisciplinary case planning patient education and research efforts You ll be joining a collaborative and progressive medical environment equipped with state-of-the-art surgical infrastructure including robotic platforms advanced diagnostics and an integrated tumor board system This is a leadership role with both clinical and academic growth opportunities Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Surgical Care Perform complex oncologic surgeries involving the kidney bladder prostate testicles and penile structures Leverage advanced surgical modalities including robotic-assisted laparoscopic and open techniques based on patient-specific factors Deliver perioperative management including counseling risk assessment and long-term oncologic surveillance Multidisciplinary Collaboration Participate in tumor board meetings to shape integrated evidence-driven cancer treatment plans Work in tandem with radiation oncologists medical oncologists radiologists and pathology experts to ensure holistic care Patient-Centered Consultation Conduct comprehensive evaluations including history taking physical exams diagnostic reviews and staging of genitourinary malignancies Educate patients and families about treatment options prognosis and post-operative care with compassion and clarity Academic Mentorship Innovation Mentor surgical residents junior consultants and uro-oncology fellows Stay at the forefront of urologic oncology through continued education active research and publication Contribute to protocol development clinical trials and surgical innovation in the field Documentation Compliance Maintain meticulous surgical and clinical documentation in the hospital s EMR system Uphold the highest standards of patient safety ethical practice and institutional compliance Required Qualifications Skills M Ch in Urology mandatory from a recognized institution Fellowship in Uro-Oncology or Surgical Oncology with focused experience in cancer surgeries 5-15 years of hands-on experience in uro-oncologic surgery preferably within high-volume oncology centers Skilled in robotic and laparoscopic techniques for procedures such as radical prostatectomy cystectomy nephrectomy and complex pelvic surgeries Strong understanding of TNM staging NCCN ESMO guidelines and multimodal cancer care strategies Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and collaborate within a clinical team Preferred Attributes Previous association with tertiary care hospitals cancer centers or academic institutions Published research or active participation in national international urology or oncology forums Experience managing high-risk and recurrent malignancies across diverse patient demographics Work Environment Growth Access to advanced technology including Da Vinci robotic platforms 3D laparoscopy and precision imaging systems Supportive team of specialists across urology oncology radiology pathology and critical care Opportunities for leadership research funding and academic development
