Position: Senior Engineer – Offshore Renewable Structures Location: Bengaluru / Delhi, India Department: R&D – Marine & Offshore Systems Experience: 4–12 years (shop-floor + field) Type: Full-time, Permanent About InSolare Energy Ltd. Our R&D team designs and deploys robust floating platforms and hardware suited for Indian and global standards. Role Overview Lead the design and build of floating bodies and auxiliaries for offshore renewables — including floating solar platforms, service pontoons, and near-shore structures. The role combines design, materials engineering, fabrication oversight, and mooring system development from concept to commissioning. Key Responsibilities - Design floating structures (frames, decks, bulkheads, joints, stability, and buoyancy). - Develop and test welded, bolted, and polymer joints (MS, SS, HDPE, composites). - Design and size mooring and anchoring systems for metocean conditions. - Optimize structures for weight, cost, stiffness, and corrosion protection. - Oversee fabrication, QA/QC, NDT, and yard/site integration. Essential Qualifications - B.E./B.Tech in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture. - 4–12 years experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or floating-solar fabrication. - Proven hands-on skills in MS and HDPE joining, leakproof compartment design, and structural calculations. - Working knowledge of mooring design and field implementation. - Willingness for yard/site travel and close coordination with fabricators. Preferred Qualifications - PG in Naval Architecture / Offshore Engineering. - Exposure to floating solar, near-shore structures, or workboats. - Knowledge of composites, metocean loads, corrosion, and fatigue. - Familiarity with vendor development for offshore components.
