Role: SFMC Solution Architect Exp : 8 to 13+ yrs of Exp Location: Coimbatore / Hyderabad / Gurgaon / Bangalore - Hybrid Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Solution Architect to design, lead, and implement robust and scalable marketing automation solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical and strategic leader, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution within the SFMC platform. You will be responsible for architecting end-to-end customer journeys, data models, integrations, and automation strategies that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Strategic Solution Design: - Translate complex business requirements and marketing strategies into detailed, scalable, and secure SFMC technical solutions. - Design comprehensive customer journeys using Journey Builder, ensuring optimal personalization, timing, and channel orchestration (email, mobile, advertising, web). - Architect data models within Contact Builder and Data Extensions to support segmentation, personalization, and reporting needs. - Develop integration strategies between SFMC and other systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, CRM, CDP, DWH, custom applications) using APIs (REST/SOAP), Marketing Cloud Connect, and other integration patterns. Technical Leadership & Governance: - Provide expert guidance on SFMC best practices, platform capabilities, and limitations to internal teams and stakeholders. - Lead technical design sessions, create detailed technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and documentation. - Oversee the technical implementation of SFMC solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, security policies, and data governance principles (GDPR, CCPA, PII). - Conduct code reviews for AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability. - Act as a subject matter expert for SFMC, staying current with new features, releases, and industry trends. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: - Work closely with marketing teams, business analysts, developers, data engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Mentor and guide junior developers and administrators on SFMC best practices and development standards. - Participate in pre-sales activities or client discovery sessions (if a consulting role), presenting solution concepts and technical approaches. Skill Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 8+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 5+ years specifically focused on Salesforce Marketing Cloud. - 3+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Lead Developer role for SFMC. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications: - Marketing Cloud Email Specialist - Marketing Cloud Consultant - Marketing Cloud Developer Deep expertise across SFMC modules: Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Audience Builder, Mobile Studio, Cloud Pages, Advertising Studio. Strong proficiency in: - AMP script and SSJS for advanced personalization and dynamic content. - SQL for data manipulation, segmentation, and reporting within SFMC. - SFMC API integrations (REST/SOAP) and Marketing Cloud Connect. - Data modeling and database design principles. - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making.
