Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations & Maintenance Head to lead and oversee all operational activities and maintenance functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cranes, hydra, boom lifts, crawler cranes, tyre-mounted cranes, and other heavy machinery, ensuring seamless operations, equipment efficiency, and minimal downtime. This role demands strong leadership, technical knowledge, and negotiation skills to manage teams, vendors, and clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operational activities across all sites to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Manage, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of cranes, hydra, boom lifts, crawler cranes, tyre-mounted cranes, and other heavy machinery.
- Lead a team of operators, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operations and maintenance.
- Monitor and control equipment downtime, ensuring timely troubleshooting and repairs.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendor teams for spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Negotiate with vendors, service providers, and contractors for cost-effective maintenance and operational services.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and organizational policies.
- Track and analyze operational KPIs, maintenance costs, and performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and equipment reliability.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Operations Management (preferred).
- 710 years of proven experience in operations and maintenance within the cranes and heavy machinery industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of cranes, hydra, boom lifts, crawler cranes, and tyre-mounted equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong vendor management, client interaction, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems, ERP, and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
