Clenergize is one of the fastest-growing Energy & Sustainability Consulting Firms in the Middle East. We are looking for an Experienced Cogeneration Engineer to join our team. The person will be required to work on Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Projects, including Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine systems, for industrial clients. This is a remote position, open to candidates based in India, and does not require physical presence in our offices. Responsibilities The candidate will be required to: - Develop and review technical feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed designs for CHP / Cogeneration projects. - Understand and interpret gas turbine, HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and steam turbine data sheets and performance guarantees. - Evaluate heat and mass balance diagrams, and optimize system efficiency through load management and equipment selection. - Prepare design basis reports (DBR), BOQ, and tender technical specifications for EPC selection. - Review EPC proposals and conduct techno-commercial evaluations. - Support clients through project development, EPC selection, construction, and commissioning stages. - Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of power and steam systems. - Perform financial and performance modeling — estimating fuel consumption, energy output, and ROI. - Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, IEC, ISO, and local utility standards. - Contribute to project management oversight, contractor coordination, and risk assessment. - Prepare client-facing technical reports, presentations, and recommendations. - Stay updated on gas turbine and CHP technology trends, including waste heat recovery, hybrid integration with renewables, and emission reduction solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Power Engineering (Master's preferred). - 8+ years of experience in Cogeneration / Combined Heat and Power projects. - Proven experience with gas turbine and steam turbine systems, preferably in industrial or paper / chemical / process plants. - Experience in CHP feasibility, basic design, EPC bid evaluation, and project management. - Strong understanding of energy efficiency, steam balance, and process integration. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and basic thermodynamic modeling tools. Preferred Skills - Experience with EPC or owner's engineer projects in cogeneration or trigeneration. - Knowledge of fuel systems (natural gas, biogas, hydrogen blends) and emission control systems. - Familiarity with O&M planning and reliability analysis for CHP systems. - Understanding of CAPEX / OPEX evaluation and lifecycle costing.
