Company DescriptionInforma is a leading academic publishing business intelligence knowledge and events business creating unique content and connectivity for customers all over the world It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 Taylor Francis Group produces high quality peer reviewed books and journals We produce unique trusted content by expert authors spreading knowledge and promoting discovery globally We aim to broaden thinking and advance understanding providing academics and professionals with a platform to share ideas and realise their individual potential We are currently looking to bring on a talented self-motivated and conscientious Senior Business Analyst to work in our busy development of our Finance Operations reports focusing on helping the organisation to make the right decisions You will be responsible for managing and delivering new features alongside a talented team of engineers that will enrich the experience of our users and partners and report to Director Finance Operations What you ll be doing Act as a key interface between Commercial Finance Marketing Technology and Financial Operations teams for collecting building new capabilities in data analytical platforms Well articulation of problem statements management of business and technical processes by creating managing functional workflows Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business challenges Assessing the objectives project requirements scope of services author and maintain internal and external documentation Help team convert the business asks to the technical factors and help in building and enriching big-data pipelines leveraging the modern data engineering principles and best practices Facilitating workshops across the business functions for various initiatives and identify gaps and high-quality improvement areas Work with the Data Architect to come up with the Functional Architecture Diagram Convert solutions into user stories along with acceptance criteria wireframe and additional support documents Work with business group in conducting Business User Acceptance Testing on analytical platforms reporting - improving the analytical systems with collection of feedback and suggestions Anticipating identifying and managing risks issues and guiding the team to continuously improve their process Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with business stakeholders for optimized systems integration and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations QualificationsWhat we re looking for Accredited Business Analyst in Information Technology sector with over 8 years of experience with five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development Work with global business stakeholders to understand the commercial goals and drivers Critical challenging thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude that gets high quality projects done quickly Ability to connect business technology and user requirements to create technology solutions Worked with Agile methodologies e g SCRUM Kanban XP Lean Excellent experience of project tools like Jira and Confluence Being passionate about your craft and want to be surrounded by like-minded individuals Being comfortable working at all tiers of modern applications from the frontend all the way to the database Proficiency with SQL and database management Strong understanding of finance and analytics Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights and need to be able to demonstrate a strong business acumen and ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders quickly Proven work experience as a Data Architect Data Scientist Data Analyst or similar role Demonstrable experience of working in Digital Transformation projects Demonstrable experience working with process redesign methods and organisational change management Additional Information 24 days annual leave 4 volunteering days annually Day off for your birthday Pension contributions Medical insurance for self and dependants life cover and personal accident cover for self Seasonal social and charitable events Training and development Blended style and flexi working time Right tools for remote working At Taylor Francis we care about our colleagues promoting work-life balance wellbeing and flexible working We believe that the skills and experience you bring to Taylor Francis are invaluable We want you to have the opportunity to develop your abilities and to innovate and develop in areas which you are passionate about You must have the right to work and live in the India This role is based at our India - Bangalore officeWe would like to thank all applicants in advance and regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified
