reviews all applications that meet the following qualifications Required Qualifications 10 Years Strong technical engineering experience Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Preferred Qualifications Extensive experience with the operation and maintenance of facility environments including heating and cooling systems Chillers Pumps cooling towers AHUs exhaust fans adiabatic systems thermal storage systems PAC units fire suppression systems VESDA security life safety and electromechanical control systems Hands-on Experience of conducting energy audits and recommend energy-efficient solutions and work with architects and contractors to integrate HVAC systems into new buildings or renovations Experience with alternative energy-efficient water treatment methodologies and developing a good program for processed water treatment and utilization Understanding of maintenance and operation of critical environment backup equipment diesel generators radiators ventilation systems fuel storage distribution elevators and protection systems Knowledge of construction techniques terminology and documentation ability to interpret blueprints electrical one-lines construction drawings etc Practical experience with building management systems and automation controls and frameworks Fundamental understanding of HVAC principles and systems Basic experience with HVAC design software e g AutoCAD Revit or similar Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of energy monitoring and implement sustainability practices and familiarity with relevant codes and standards e g ASHRAE ISHRAE NBC IMC Proficiency in Building Management Systems BMS and automation platforms Align HVAC operations with ESG Environmental Social and Governance initiatives Certification in Energy Management HVAC Design Operations or BMS Operation will be preferred Responsibilities As a successful Critical Environment Mechanical Engineer your performance objectives include Demonstrating a strong desire and capability to learn grow and develop new skills Promoting a culture of safety security and compliance in all aspects of critical labs and data center activities Taking overall responsibility for the safe operation of our facilities Understanding the design and functionality of critical rooms labs and data centers Managing ongoing critical engineering maintenance support for all service lines to pre-defined SLAs ensuring service uptime is maintained to the highest standards and faults are addressed promptly Managing incidents that impact Qualcomm services and ensuring proactive and timely resolution of such incidents Collaborating with the Construction and Commissioning team to integrate new mechanical systems into existing and future projects Provide technical guidance to HVAC technicians and other team members Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems Test HVAC system performance and make adjustments as necessary Supporting and validating critical room operations in relation to mechanical infrastructure Act as the mechanical SME for on-site operations related to mission-critical mechanical systems operations and functionality Serving as the technical authority for on-site operations related to large-scale mission-critical mechanical systems design and functionality Establishing and coordinating maintenance and safety operating procedures required to maintain highly redundant mechanical designs within the system Empowering operational optimization and efficiency
