Job Description Role Profile The Finance Controllership Team provides financial control and accounting support to LSEG globally. Financial Controllers are responsible for delivering of high-quality management reporting and controllership to the Business units within the Organization The main responsibilities of this role will be to support the FinCon team by preparing, developing, supervising and analysing financial information within the D&A segment. This role will interact with various customers of the FinCon organization and the global finance team. The role focuses on core accounting skills, working across different business & divisions for the Americas region. Responsibilities / Accountabilities - Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close - Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts - Production of key supporting schedules for significant costs with the areas supported. - Find opportunities for a more robust control environment to mitigate key risks. - Assist Coordinates preparing and review of financial documents (internal/external) of business/geography/function/division in a timely and accurate manner, and support analyses of material variances and may support with Group consolidation / balance sheets - Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures - Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process, Assist AP, AR, Bank, Payroll, Tax, Intercompany teams to resolve accounting issues. - Handles the accounting resolution of open items and accounting issues. Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies - Chartered Accountant/ Certified Public Accountant, CIMA, degree or equivalent in Finance with hands on experience in IFRS based accounting. - At least 5+ years of prior experience in Big4 or MNC preferably from service industry. - Experience of working with systems : SAP, Oracle, Pyramid, an added advantage - Strong interpersonal skills: both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly and concisely interact with personnel at all management levels - Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change. - Flexibility to work per UK hours.
