Role Brief:

We are looking for a
Finance Associate: Internal Controller
to join our Finance team and take ownership of designing, implementing, and monitoring our internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role is central to safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards, and driving process efficiency across all financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and standardize end-to-end Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM)
    across all key processes to systematically identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Design and implement effective overall
    internal financial controls (IFC)
    across the organization to mitigate operational and financial risks, ensuring adherence to the control framework.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits and control testing to assess compliance with established SOPs and the internal control framework.
  • Identify control gaps and provide actionable recommendations to management for process improvements and control enhancement.
  • Monitor compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including direct and indirect tax laws (GST, TDS) and corporate secretarial standards.
  • Assist in external audit preparation by providing assurance on the robustness and operating effectiveness of internal controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
    qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum
    1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience
    in internal audit, internal controls, or a core finance role, preferably within a technology or high-growth company.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, documenting, and testing the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
  • Proven expertise in implementing and monitoring overall internal control processes.
  • Familiarity with Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and corporate compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate control requirements and collaborate effectively with non-finance teams globally.
