Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of PHP programming, experience with web development, and the ability to build efficient, scalable, and maintainable web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into functional web applications
- Develop and maintain server-side logic using PHP and frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Design and implement databases, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data integrity
- Create RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end components
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and speed
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in PHP code and web applications
- Collaborate with QA teams to test and validate application functionalities
- Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and best practices
- Stay up-to-date on PHP trends, emerging technologies, and web development best practices
- Take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality software within deadlines

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of PHP projects
- Proficiency in PHP programming and experience with at least one PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.)
- Strong understanding of web development principles, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with front-end libraries/frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus
- Experience with database management (MySQL) and writing optimized SQL queries
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
