Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled DataStage Developer with experience in ETL development, Teradata, and data warehousing concepts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using IBM DataStage, strong SQL skills (preferably Teradata), and a good understanding of data quality validation. Exposure to cloud platforms and orchestration tools like Airflow is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouse environments.

Write complex and optimized SQL queries, preferably in Teradata, for data extraction, transformation, and validation.

Work closely with data analysts and business users to understand requirements and implement data integration solutions.

Perform manual and automated data quality checks, including validation and reconciliation activities.

Collaborate with QA teams and perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies and ETL job failures.

Develop reusable DataStage job components and ensure adherence to data modeling and warehousing best practices.

Monitor ETL jobs and manage dependencies using job sequencers or orchestration tools (Airflow preferred).

Document ETL workflows, metadata mappings, and data dictionaries.

Support cloud migration and integration activities (if applicable).

Required Skills:

4–6 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage ETL development.

Strong SQL expertise with Teradata (or other data warehouse platforms like Oracle, Snowflake, etc.).

Understanding of data warehousing concepts: star/snowflake schema, SCD, data marts, fact/dimension tables.

Basic programming knowledge in Python, Shell scripting, or Unix/Linux environments.

Experience with manual data validation and data profiling techniques.

Familiarity with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or DataStage Job Sequencer.
