Business Consulting - Application Support Engineer - Azure dev / Integration Position Summary: An Application Support Engineer maintains IT solutions within a technology domain, ensuring performance, security, and scalability across processes, systems, applications, and infrastructure. They troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, implement automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance technology and business operations while adhering to industry best practices and compliance to architecture and standards. They also specialize in building knowledge on end-to-end application integration, working across both frontend and backend technologies and across technology stacks while supporting cloud services, and Azure DevOps practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: . Proactively monitor Azure environments (including hosted applications), detect anomalies, and resolve issues before they impact business operations. . Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and enhance system performance. . Adapt communication style to effectively convey solutions to different audiences based on their needs. . Listen attentively and respectfully to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions. . Keep stakeholders regularly informed on progress, including updates on changing priorities or timelines. . Exercise sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information. . Take initiative and accept accountability for results, without shifting blame for setbacks. . Stay current with industry knowledge and apply new principles and practices to ongoing work. . Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in solving problems, leveraging both independent ideas and those of others. . Consistently meet agreed-upon quality and productivity standards. . Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions. . Make well-informed decisions that consistently achieve the desired outcomes. . Remain updated on the latest Azure services, tools, and best practices specific to government cloud environments. . Clearly and concisely document application support processes, solutions, and architectural flows. Required Skills and Experience: . Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field (equivalent professional experience may substitute). . 3-5 years of experience in the responsibilities and technical skills outlined in this job description. . Hands-on experience with Azure services, including App Service, Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Storage. . Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and identity management using Azure AD. . Familiarity with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB. . Proven problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. . Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. . Knowledge of microservices architecture. . Practical experience with Azure DevOps. . Experience with integration platforms such as Azure Logic Apps or similar tools. . Proficiency in containerization and microservices technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. .
