Summary of Responsibilities

This position shall be part of the Corporate Finance function . The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced environment. Equally important for success in this role is the ability to collaborate with diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in a variety of complex tasks as the business continues to grow. A candidate should have strong technical accounting and hands-on experience in these areas to successfully analyze the organizations critical business requirements and develop innovative solutions to improve performance and reporting of financial results. Working knowledge of banking and treasury is desirable but not mandatory.

Knowledge & Skills Required Major work responsibilities shall comprise of the below:

- Review and drive the cost accruals process, ensuring all expenses are properly recorded and accounted for in line with financial policies and timelines.
- Ensuring proper internal controls and documentation (SOPs/checklist) for assigned processes including but not limited to Inventory, Procure to Pay
- Continuously review and improve the cost accrual and book closing processes for better efficiency and accuracy. Ensure that cost efficiency and a cost-conscious culture is a key focus for the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes in procedures or systems to improve f inancial controls and reporting accuracy
- Partner/drive automation initiatives for Inventory accounting and other processes;
- Manage and supervise operational excellence for Inventory movement.
- Manage and supervise Inventory movement and ensuring optimum DOH to optimise working capital.
- Working with Cross functional teams to drive Inventory health.
- Provide support for internal and statutory audits and for monthly financial reviews with business partners,
- Review and drive action on balance sheet schedules related to accounts payable/receivables/Inventory.
- Developing strong partnership with Category, Finance Partners, Tech teams, and Supply Chain/Ops;
- Actively work in formulating accounting policies and guidelines for all critical business processes, Ensure adherence to companys accounting policy and guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

- CA with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of cost accruals, financial actualization, and month-end closing processes Should have strong excel skills and ability to handle volumes
- SAP knowledge preferable,
- Good communication skills and ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of the retail business. Prior experience in a complex retail organization or E commerce.
- Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
