Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Department Development:

- Build and lead the warehousing department from the ground up.
- Design service offerings, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
- Identify optimal warehouse layouts, automation tools, and inventory systems.

Sales & Business Development:

- Generate B2B leads across industries (retail, pharma, FMCG, e-commerce, automotive, etc.).
- Drive sales to fill a minimum of 50,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space.
- Pitch tailored warehousing & storage solutions to clients including short-term and long-term contracts.

Team Building & Management:

- Recruit and manage a high-performing operations and sales team.
- Set KPIs and develop training programs for warehouse staff and field sales executives.

Strategy & Execution:

- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships or value-added services (packaging, last-mile delivery, 3PL, cold chain, etc.).
- Coordinate with marketing and digital teams for campaigns to generate inbound leads.

Client Relations & Account Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for warehousing clients.
- Maintain high client satisfaction and manage renewals and upsell opportunities.

Preferred:

- Experience with warehousing solutions in Mumbai.
- Previous role in scaling warehousing business or managing >50,000 sq. ft. space.
- Ability to integrate tech-enabled solutions like WMS, ERP, or IoT-driven logistics tools.
