Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business - Smart Power in the India region. Main stakeholders are production teams, digital transformation teams, operations, IT, engineering, and business leadership. You will be mainly accountable for: . Designing and implementing business intelligence dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Power Apps, and RPA platforms. . Analyzing large datasets to extract insights, identify patterns, and support data-driven decision-making. . Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver technical digital solutions aligned with manufacturing goals. . Identifying and reducing non-value-added (NVA) activities through process analysis and digital automation initiatives. . Developing and maintaining cloud- or SharePoint-based databases for efficient data management and reporting. . Applying AI/ML techniques to automate tasks, optimize workflows, and predict operational outcomes. . Staying up to date with emerging technologies in Industry 4.0, IoT, and digital manufacturing to continuously enhance smart factory operations.

Qualifications for the role

- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, digital manufacturing, or production engineering, preferably in a smart factory or industrial automation environment.
- Proficient in SQL, Python or R, Power BI, and Power Apps, with a strong grasp of data visualization and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in manufacturing analytics and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, SharePoint, and database management systems.
- Familiarity with SAP functions and manufacturing-related transactions Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, IS/cybersecurity awareness, and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
