Location Bangalore India Thales is a global technology leader trusted by governments institutions and enterprises to tackle their most demanding challenges From quantum applications and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and 6G innovation our solutions empower critical decisions rooted in human intelligence Operating at the forefront of aerospace and space cybersecurity and digital identity we re driven by a mission to build a future we can all trust Present in India since 1953 Thales is headquartered in Noida and has other operational offices and sites spread across Delhi Gurugram Bengaluru and Mumbai among others Over 2200 employees are working with Thales and its joint ventures in India Since the beginning Thales has been playing an essential role in India s growth story by sharing its technologies and expertise in Defence Aerospace and Cyber Digital sectors Thales has two engineering competence centres in India - one in Noida focused on Cyber Digital business while the one in Bengaluru focuses on hardware software and systems engineering capabilities for both the civil and defence sectors serving global needs The Group has also established an MRO Maintenance Repair Overhaul facility in Gurugram to provide comprehensive avionics maintenance and repair services to Indian airlines and support the growth of the local aviation industry Job Title Senior Data Engineer - IT Service Supervision Monitoring Dashboarding Job Summary This role focuses on the tooling of supervision monitoring early alerting troubleshooting and dashboarding of IT services The end-to-end scope covers infrastructure middleware and business services This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical skills while collaborating with international teams across North America NORAM France Europe and APAC Key Responsibilities Contribute to defining and executing the observability strategy by breaking down goals into actionable initiatives and ensuring their successful implementation Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines for collecting and processing IT service monitoring data from diverse international infrastructures Assist in designing and building dashboards that provide actionable insights into IT service health and performance metrics accessible by teams in France India and other regions Help implement early alerting systems including event detection and management to proactively identify potential service issues and escalate them appropriately Collaborate closely with service owners product owners and IT operations across NORAM Europe and APAC to troubleshoot and resolve incidents effectively Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring frameworks and dashboard features based on feedback from both France and India teams Ensure data quality consistency and security across all monitoring and dashboarding tools Assist in preparing Excellence Reviews with business stakeholders by correlating incidents and problem management data Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related discipline Approximately 10 years of experience in data engineering IT monitoring or related fields is highly advantageous Strong knowledge of cloud platform monitoring particularly Google Cloud Platform GCP and Microsoft Azure Proficient in designing and managing data pipelines ETL processes and working with large datasets and big data technologies Experience with dashboarding tools such as Grafana Power BI Tableau or equivalents is preferred Good knowledge of monitoring and alerting platforms such as Microfocus iSapp Dynatrace Nagios Zabbix or Prometheus Programming skills in Python and SQL familiarity with Java or Scala is a plus Analytical mindset with a strong desire to learn and proactively solve complex problems Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within multicultural distributed teams worldwide At Thales we re committed to fostering a workplace where respect trust collaboration and passion drive everything we do Here you ll feel empowered to bring your best self thrive in a supportive culture and love the work you do Join us and be part of a team reimagining technology to create solutions that truly make a difference - for a safer greener and more inclusive world
