Job Summary:
The Fire & Safety Executive is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors by maintaining fire & safety equipment, developing evacuation plans, conducting regular fire & safety inspections, enforcing safety regulations, and providing training and guidance on fire safety procedures within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in the establishment are maintained in optimal condition at all times.
- Develop, review, and update comprehensive fire evacuation plans to facilitate the safe and efficient evacuation of personnel in case of fire emergencies.
- Conduct regular fire & safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with fire & safety standards.
- Enforce adherence to fire & safety codes, regulations, and organizational safety guidelines across all departments.
- Organize and conduct fire & safety training sessions and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of safety and preparedness.
- Monitor and address any violations of fire safety codes promptly and effectively.
- Investigate incidents of non-compliance and recommend or implement disciplinary measures as appropriate.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and emergency services to ensure compliance with local fire & safety laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of fire & safety activities, incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in fire & safety management or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of fire & safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
- Strong observational and analytical skills to conduct thorough safety inspections.
- Excellent communication and training skills to educate staff on fire safety.
- Ability to enforce regulations firmly and fairly.
- Relevant certifications in fire safety or emergency management are preferred.
