Combating Fires

As a Fire Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring fire safety at assigned sites. You will utilize apparatus and follow command structure instructions for fire suppression or related emergency services.

• Set up equipment upon arrival at a fire scene.
• Dispatch and accompany Emergency Response Teams (ERTs).
• Prepare plans and execute fire and life safety evacuation drills and other fire safety-related training to team members and occupants available on the premises.
• Complete rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations at a fire scene.
• Determine if individuals are trapped within a burning facility and take actions to secure their rescue.
• Perform periodic lift evacuations and rescue drills.
• Secure affected structures to prevent rekindling.
• Conduct inventory of all equipment after suppression, recording those left at the site, and incident reports.
• Attend pre-fire planning studies and maintain updated knowledge of pre-fire plans.
• liaise with Government authorities for NOC renewals.
• Record incidents and maintain records of Fire equipment maintenance and training.
