Business Unit: HCIB Operational Resilience Role: ICAAP Scenario Planning Manager Location: Bangalore Experience: 5+ years About the Team HCIB Operational Resilience is a global function supporting nine international markets in meeting local regulatory requirements and adhering to global resilience standards. The team provides cross-market insights, drives efficiencies, supports resilience testing, and promotes consistency across all HCIB markets. This role will support the Scenario Planning Lead in the delivery of the Internal Capacity Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) Scenario Analysis to ensure that HCIB effectively assesses capital adequacy under a range of stress scenarios. About the Role We're looking for a detail-driven and analytically minded professional to join our ICAAP Scenario Planning team. This role supports the design, governance, and execution of scenario analysis that underpins key regulatory processes and capital adequacy planning. What You'll Do • Support the design and governance of the annual ICAAP Scenario Analysis plan, ensuring timely updates and inclusion of new scenarios. • Help build and maintain the ICAAP scenario library to drive consistency and quality across all scenarios. • Analyse risk data and contribute to the creation of workshop materials and documentation. • Act as SME minute taker during workshops—accurately capturing discussions, decisions, and next steps. • Use the HCIB Threat Register to identify and develop severe but plausible capital risk scenarios aligned with the risk taxonomy. • Maintain and communicate lessons learned and improvement areas for the ICAAP process. What You Bring • Experience working within Governance, Risk & Control (GRC) environments, analysing operational risk data, and drawing insights. • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in creating effective PowerPoint briefs. • Ability to follow complex SME-led discussions and document key outcomes with accuracy. • Knowledge of ICAAP or similar frameworks (e.g., CCAR) is an advantage. • High attention to detail, strong execution focus, and the ability to deliver against regulatory deadlines. • Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement, and strong ethical standards. Risk & Controls Mindset • Proactively manage delivery and operating model risks, translating technical insights into business-relevant impacts. • Maintain compliance with Group policies, internal controls, and regulatory expectations. • Support the timely completion of audit and regulatory actions.
