AtkinsRalis's Minerals and Metals team in Canada is made up of more than 400 employees who work on large-scale projects to support mining sustainability, pit-to-port opportunities, metallurgical plant engineering, or mine closure and capabilities in the study, design, and construction of mining projects across a wide range of mining and processing methods and commodities. We are seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Minerals and Metals team. to work and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to mining, mineral processing and the environmental management of mining operations. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement and Contracts Director NAM (North America). Our group carries out varied mandates related to mining, smelting, processing and environmental management of mining sites throughout North America. We regularly take up the challenge of designing innovative solutions adapted to each client and assisting them at all stages of the life of their mining operation, from exploration to closure.
This opportunity will be to support the M&M business located in any of the major cities of Canada: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton.
Your role within the team:
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle for construction subcontracts, including sourcing and pre-qualification in line with owner and project requirements.
- Prepare and issue RFPs per company and client procedures coordinate bidder communications analyze bids with stakeholders and produce recommendation reports for project management and the owner.
- Draft letters of intent/award and develop subcontract agreements using standard terms and conditions lead negotiations through final approval by senior management and the client.
- Administer change management, including entitlement evaluation, change-order negotiation, and ensuring best value for the project.
- Prepare monthly progress payment certificates for subcontractors and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments.
- Support Project Controls with accruals, end-of-life forecasting, and cashflow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and client policies, procedures, and regulatory standards across all contract administration activities.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Contract Administration (or a closely related field).
- 5+ years in contract administration, subcontract administration, or procurement roles, ideally on construction or engineering projects.
- Hands-on experience preparing and issuing procurement documentation (e.g., RFPs/RFQs, bid packages).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English bilingual (French and English) considered an asset.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines goal-oriented and accountable for deliverables.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $98,100 - $134,900 annually) (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
