We&aposre Hiring: Principal Architect Event-Driven Systems

Remote | Full-time | Global Opportunity

Mobio Transfers is building the brain of modern movement. Our real-time platform powers dynamic ride-hailing and delivery logistics with live tracking, intelligent matching, and instant communication. Think Uber or Careem but smarter, leaner, and built for global scale.

Were looking for a Principal Architect to lead our event-driven architecture the core nervous system of Mobio. If youve built platforms for logistics, delivery, or ride-hailing (with real-time data, spikes in traffic, and marketplace dynamics), we want to talk.

What Youll Do

- Architect our global event-driven system with Apache Kafka at its core.
- Design resilient microservices for location tracking, ETAs, pricing, etc.
- Set best practices for event sourcing, schema design, and communication.
- Build and lead a team focused on streaming, messaging, and platform reliability.
- Collaborate across teams to enable real-time features: rider-driver matching, dynamic pricing, and ML-powered routing.
- Ensure high availability, observability, and multi-region scalability.

What You Bring

- 10+ years in engineering with senior architecture experience
- Kafka expert youve built systems with Kafka as the backbone (must-have)
- Experience in live location logistics (Uber, Careem, food delivery, etc.)
- Strong grasp of event-driven systems, microservices, and cloud-native (AWS/Kubernetes) deployments
- Experience with polyglot persistence:
- Relational DBs for transactions
- NoSQL for massive write loads (e.g., GPS pings)
- Redis for caching
- Youve scaled systems to millions of users, built and led strong teams

Bonus If You Know

Real-time analytics: Flink, Spark, Apache Pinot

- Workflow engines: Cadence, Netflix Conductor
- Server-Driven UI (Careem AppEngine-style agility)
- Multi-tenant Kafka and platform-level observability
- Open-source or high-performance language experience (Go, Rust)
