Lead the logistics transformation as Head - Site Logistics managing multi-site operations for hazardous goods like chemicals and gases while driving digital innovation and ensuring top-tier safety and complianceReporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer CSCO you will Lead all surface transportation warehousing and site logistics operations across multiple sites managing both inbound and outbound logistics for bulk and packaged goods Oversee logistics operations for hazardous materials ensuring compliance with Responsible Care standards and best practices Manage logistics procurement processes negotiating competitive rates with Logistics Service Providers LSP and optimizing 3PL performance through audits benchmarking and corrective action Drive continuous improvement projects in site logistics particularly digital initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Ensure adherence to corporate safety objectives and regulatory compliance Provide leadership to a team of 3 direct reportees and manage a total logistics team of 12-15 professionals Work closely with senior leadership to scale the logistics function and prepare for potential progression to the Domestic Logistics Head role Only candidates with 8 yrs of SCM experience in transportation and logistics Only candidates with experience in logistics chemicals gas etc An Engineering Degree and MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations are required CPIM APICS certification is preferred A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in logistics including transportation warehousing and site logistics management in a manufacturing setup Proven experience in managing logistics for hazardous materials such as chemicals petrochemicals or gases with a strong understanding of site logistics processes Expertise in logistics procurement 3PL management and cost optimization with experience in digital initiatives to drive operational excellence Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive change Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in bulk and packaged chemicals and gases catering to a wide range of industries both domestically and internationally They are committed to safety operational excellence and compliance with a strong focus on driving innovation through digitalization and process optimization Opportunity to lead logistics operations at prominent chemical manufacturing sites with career progression to larger sites and senior roles within the broader Supply Chain function Exposure to cutting-edge digitalization and process optimization initiatives within logistics
