Title IMS Admin Location Bangalore Exp 7 yrs Key Responsibilities - Administer IMS DB DC systems across development test and production environments - Perform installation upgrades and patching of IMS software and related tools - Monitor and tune IMS performance ensuring high availability and reliability - Manage IMS database definitions DBD program specifications PSB and application control blocks ACB - Support IMS Connect and integration with middleware and distributed platforms - Implement backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies for IMS databases - Collaborate with application developers DBAs and system programmers to resolve issues and optimize performance - Maintain documentation for IMS configurations procedures and change management Required Skills Qualifications - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field - 7 years of experience in IMS DB DC administration in mainframe environments - Strong knowledge of IMS architecture utilities and system internals - Experience with IMS tools such as OMEGAMON DBRC and IMS Connect - Proficiency in JCL TSO ISPF and SMP E - Familiarity with RACF and mainframe security protocols - Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience with z OS DB2 and CICS integration - Exposure to DevOps practices and automation in mainframe environments - Knowledge of IMS modernization strategies and API enablement - IBM IMS certifications or equivalent credentials
