Our tools ensure that factory workers know their rights & responsibilities, can access remedies, and are heard by stakeholders. We serve over 2.25 million workers in 30 languages. What you'll be doing:

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Technical Lead to guide and manage our development teams. This role is crucial in translating high-level technical vision into day-to-day execution while ensuring code quality, delivery reliability, and team productivity. You'll lead technical planning, review implementation strategies, manage releases, and also contribute directly to development and production support when needed. As a Technical Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure solutions are built efficiently, securely, and with scalability in mind.

Team & Task Management

- Oversee day-to-day development team operations, ensuring clear task ownership and delivery timelines.
- Break down business and technical requirements into actionable tasks for backend, frontend, and infra teams.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
- Act as the first point of contact for blockers, dependencies, and technical clarifications.

Technical Oversight

- Review implementation plans and system designs for alignment with architecture, performance, and security standards.
- Conduct detailed code reviews to maintain high-quality, maintainable, and scalable codebases.
- Ensure proper documentation of systems, processes, and APIs.

Release & Environment Management

- Manage release processes across environments including QA, staging, and production.

Hands-On Development & Support

- Take on development tasks, especially for complex features, refactors, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues quickly and systematically.
- Implement monitoring and alerting improvements to reduce response times and increase reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work with product managers, and QA to ensure delivery meets user expectations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to refine priorities and evaluate trade-offs in technical decisions.

Who we are looking for:

- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack or backend development, with at least 1-2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Familiarity with how to integrate AI into development process flow to optimize productivity
- Django web framework and related technologies such as ORM, Rest Framework and Celery, React.js, Redux, Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres.
- Strong proficiency in Django (Python) and modern JavaScript frameworks (especially React/Next.js).
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, system design principles, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably both AWS and Azure) and deploying scalable applications.
- Strong command of Git workflows, CI/CD practices, and release automation.
- Comfortable working with databases and reporting stacks like ClickHouse and Metabase.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with mentorship and planning.
- Proactive mindset towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Located in Bangalore, India (preferred)
