India Opco Controls Manager

Gilbarco Veeder Root is looking for a Manager to lead a team 2 3 individuals to assist the Vontier operating companies with recurring accounting work including preparing Sarbanes-Oxley controls The location is Bangalore India This role will bey key in setting up the function including working with the Controllers of the operating companies to develop standard work to be performed by this team This role will be essential in ensuring quality and time commitments are achieved in each workstream performed This role will have high visibility in our Bangalore office and the Accounting teams of our operating companies As you will be a people Manager it is also expected you will foster an environment of growth and development of the employees reporting to you This position reports to the Shared Services Director Assist in identifying standard recurring accounting and controls work to be transitioned from the operating companies to this department Develop a repeatable process to capture requirements for new workstreams Develop standardized approaches to deliver the workstreams to the operating companies Primarily review and in some instances perform the identified work Be flexible and assist where needed when time sensitive projects arise Deliver work on time and in accordance with agreed quality standards Recommend different methods that could help to enhance and improve procedures Perform other related assignments as assigned by management Limited travel required estimated at 5 Key qualifications 5 years of experience with either a Big 4 accounting firm a U S public company or a combination therein A Chartered Accountant license required Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting is required Exposure to US GAAP and SOX requirements including the ability to interpret requirements and meet them efficiently Experience documenting control processes and procedures Strong communicator and willing to work in partnership with international team members largely in the US Process focused and willing able to implement strong recurring processes to ensure consistent delivery of work product to stakeholders The following personal characteristics and traits have
