**About the Role**:
The Accounting team is responsible for a myriad of finance, accounting and G&A functions which include revenue recognition, payroll, commission, performance bookkeeping, accounting, monthly close, financial statement analysis, performing budget versus actual variance analysis, tracking and controlling spend by different categories.

**What You'll Do**:

- Lead, scale and manage the India Accounting team responsible for revenue, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
- Manage local compliance, audit, banking, payroll, and tax relationships.
- Partner with global accounting team to prepare and review the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close to ensure efficiency and accuracy including producing consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 606.
- Partner with India People Team and Global Legal Team on HR and Corporate matters.
- Provide leadership and vision for scale and growth and consider ways to drive efficiency and automation.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the India Accounting team.
- Partner with the Global Controller, auditors & other stakeholders to create financial records, controls, and processes as Airbase scales.

**What You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accountancy, Finance or related degree required.
- CA license required.
- 7+ years of related experience required.
- Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or nationally recognized accounting firm strongly preferred.
- High growth SaaS company experience preferred.
- Financial services experience a plus.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- Quick learner with the ability to multitask, work independently, think critically and problem solve in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Prioritize and balance multiple requests, projects, and deadlines
- Experience with analytics tools and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent and proven cross-functional collaboration skills.
