Job Description Job description: Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain backup and storage infrastructure, primarily usingTandbergdata tools. - Perform daily backup operations, monitoring, and validation of data integrity and restore procedures. - Schedule and execute periodic backups and ensure adherence to backup policies. - Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, hardware issues, and data restore requests. - Monitor storage utilization, perform capacity planning, and recommend upgrades when necessary. - Maintainand document backup configuration, recovery procedures, and DR policies. - Coordinate with internal teams to support server and database backup requirements. - Ensure compliance with company data retention and protection policies. Technical Skills Required: - Hands-on experience withTandberg backup solutions. - Good knowledge of tape libraries, disk storage systems, and backup software. - Familiarity with storage protocols:NAS, SAN, iSCSI, RAID. - Experience withWindows/Linux serversand basic scripting (PowerShell or Shell). - Understanding ofDisaster Recovery (DR)planning and implementation. - Knowledge ofdata security, encryption, and retention compliance.
