About Our Client The hiring company is a well-established large organization operating in the FMCG industry, particularly in the Food sector. They are known for their commitment to delivering premium products and maintaining high standards of quality in their manufacturing processes. Job Description - Ensure compliance with quality parameters across all production stages and escalate deviations as needed. - Maintain accurate records in SAP and ensure timely compliance with certifications related to quality and food safety. - Coordinate with stores for material issuance required for QC lab operations. - Liaise with maintenance teams and equipment vendors for calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment. - Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of observations. - Enforce SOPs, safety protocols, and hygiene standards during sampling and lab operations. - Monitor departmental budget adherence. - Provide feedback to the central quality team for updates to policies and guidelines. - Collaborate on developing and updating product specifications, including criteria for acceptance or rejection. - Communicate updated quality standards to relevant departments such as production and procurement. - Implement quality control measures at each production stage. - Review and implement CAPA for plant-level quality and food safety issues. - Analyze quality reports and MIS data to identify trends and introduce preventive controls. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in plant quality performance. - Ensure compliance with certifications and regulatory audits. - Address customer queries and audit-related observations promptly. - Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, either as standalone projects or regular tasks. The Successful Applicant Qualifications: - B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields - Certifications in quality management are a plus Experience: - 9-12 years of experience in managing quality functions in a manufacturing setup, preferably in FMCG (rice/agri-products/foods) - Hands-on experience in quality assurance, control, and sample checks across RM, in-process, and FG stages - Proficiency in analyzing quality reports and implementing CAPA - Familiarity with audits, certifications, statutory norms, and compliance standards What's on Offer This role offers a chance to lead impactful quality initiatives while gaining broad cross-functional exposure, making it ideal for professionals seeking strategic ownership and career growth in manufacturing.
