Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and highly motivated Head of Sales for the East Zone (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh) to lead, manage, and grow our sales operations in this key region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading high-performance sales teams, driving revenue growth, and developing strong relationships with key customers in the assigned regions. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for strategizing and executing the sales vision for the East Zone, with a focus on achieving sales targets and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales professionals to ensure the highest levels of performance.
- Drive strategic initiatives to expand market share and ensure profitability in the assigned regions.
- Provide leadership in sales forecasting, territory planning, and pipeline management.
1. Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to enhance skills, performance, and sales effectiveness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous skill development for the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high achievement.
1. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and partners.
- Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by addressing customer needs and resolving issues effectively.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead negotiations with key clients and prospects.
1. Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on market insights and customer needs.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and local market dynamics to remain competitive.
1. Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and track sales performance, ensuring all targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and performance analysis for senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to provide insights into sales performance and market trends.
1. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales strategies and ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with other regional heads and departments to maintain consistency and optimize resource allocation.
7. Large-scale Distributor Appointment
- Surveying and appointing distributors that are financially sound, having necessary infrastructure and team to support high sales volume and having a good reputation in the market.
8. Return-on-investment Presentation
- Giving effective ROI-based sales pitch to investors and entrepreneurs to take up company's distributionship. Appointing distributors that are exclusively going to distribute the company's products.
9. Financial Performance
- Ensuring Robust Topline and Bottomline growth while designing strategies and implementing it to optimally execute sales and marketing budget allocated to the particular zone.
10. Channel Management and expansion
- Conducting various channel expansion campaigns and ensuring above-industry demand generation of company's products by ensuring proper secondary and tertiary sales.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing a multi-state region, preferably in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
- Strong understanding of the local market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
