Job Description This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an HR Specialist in India. As an HR Specialist, you will act as a trusted partner to clients, guiding them through complex workforce management challenges across APAC and MEA regions. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and performance management to terminations and compliance, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for employees. Working at the intersection of HR operations, legal advisory, and global mobility, you will support M&A transitions, policy implementation, and digital process improvements. Your role will require strong expertise in employment law, cross-cultural communication, and HRIS systems, allowing you to influence operational excellence while helping clients optimize their workforce strategies. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive HR best practices, automation, and continuous improvement across multiple countries. Accountabilities - Serve as the primary HR contact for onboarding, lifecycle events, terminations, and employee experience initiatives - Advise clients on complex employee relations, contract changes, post-M&A transfers, and risk mitigation - Partner with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors to ensure compliance and operational efficiency - Provide international HR and payroll consultation, workforce planning support, and guidance on benefits administration - Maintain expertise in labor laws and cultural nuances across APAC and MEA countries - Lead process optimization, digital transformation, and standardization of HR practices globally - Support performance and compensation management, including PIPs, salary adjustments, and mobility processes Requirements - 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in EOR, PEO, or HRO environments - Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and employment regulations across key APAC & MEA countries - Experience managing complex employee relations, M&A transitions, and workforce restructurings - Proficiency with HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack - Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or Business (MBA/SHRM-SCP preferred) - Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while collaborating across global teams Benefits - Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package - Flexible, remote-first work environment - Professional development and learning opportunities - Exposure to global HR practices and cross-border workforce management - Supportive and inclusive company culture with a focus on employee wellbeing Why Apply Through Jobgether We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
