Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager – HR (Talent Acquisition) will play a pivotal role in managing and executing end-to-end talent acquisition processes to meet Meril Life Sciences’ growing talent requirements in the MedTech industry. The position will be responsible for attracting, selecting, and onboarding top talent while ensuring alignment with business objectives, organizational values, and global best practices in recruitment. The role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle including manpower planning, job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, and onboarding.
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline: Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline using multiple sourcing channels such as job portals, social media, employee referrals, headhunting, and recruitment agencies.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions.
Employer Branding: Drive initiatives to strengthen Meril’s employer brand in the MedTech and healthcare industry to attract top talent.
Talent Acquisition Strategy: Design and implement recruitment strategies aligned with business expansion plans (domestic and international).
Diversity Hiring: Support and promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
Vendor Management: Partner with recruitment agencies and consultants for niche, technical, and leadership hiring.
Recruitment Analytics: Maintain and present recruitment dashboards, MIS, and hiring reports to management.
Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless and engaging candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, HR best practices, and legal requirements in hiring processes.
Skills & Competencies
Proven expertise in Talent Acquisition with 5–7 years of hands-on recruitment experience, preferably in MedTech, Pharma, Healthcare, or related industries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong command of English (both written and spoken).
Ability to handle multiple mandates and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in using recruitment tools, ATS (Darwinbox preferred), and Excel for reporting.
Exposure to global hiring practices and international recruitment will be an added advantage.
Strong networking skills and ability to build long-term candidate and industry relationships.

Time-to-fill and quality of hire metrics.
Reduction in dependency on external consultants through internal talent pipelines.
Candidate experience ratings and feedback.
Diversity hiring ratio improvement.
Hiring manager satisfaction scores.
Adherence to recruitment budgets and timelines.
