Company Description Visa is a world leader in payments and technology with over 259 billion payments transactions flowing safely between consumers merchants financial institutions and government entities in more than 200 countries and territories each year Our mission is to connect the world through the most innovative convenient reliable and secure payments network enabling individuals businesses and economies to thrive while driven by a common purpose - to uplift everyone everywhere by being the best way to pay and be paid Make an impact with a purpose-driven industry leader Join us today and experience Life at Visa Assess pricing and billing requirements and create clear thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets Understand the as-is billing of the products that need to be automated Perform reverse engineering and create documentation for billing systems Be the primary liaison between other business units engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existing feature sets into billing systems Provide data extracts from various databases to business teams to support business operations Deliver automation projects with engineering teams from a prioritized backlog Participate in daily scrum meetings Develop deep understanding of the transactions and data generated by various billing pricing and upstream platforms Find actionable insights through exploratory analysis impact accounting and experimentation Communicate and evangelize data driven insights to ensure the product teams are building the right things and moving the right metrics Ensure that our data is trustworthy reliable and easy to access Ensure that user experience and design thinking are part of the solutions you build for end user This is a hybrid position Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager Qualifications 7 or more years of work experience and a Bachelor s Degree Self-motivated results driven with the ability to quickly establish clear well thought out action plans Must have working experience building high volume and large scale distributed systems Billing and or Payments systems experience is a strong plus Demonstrate a wide range of engineering experiences including many of these areas Hadoop Hive Spark SQL and Unix Expertise in understanding complex data models and writing complex database queries for RDBMS Hadoop and NoSQL Strong knowledge of agile development practices especially Scrum and or Kanban methodologies and tools e g Jira Rally and CI CD Devops Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels Fast learner on both technical side and business side Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex national origin sexual orientation gender identity disability or protected veteran status Visa will also consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with EEOC guidelines and applicable local law
