Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Implementing Scrum Practices: Ensure consistent implementation of Scrum practices across all teams, addressing any deviations as they arise.
- Help establish sprint cadence and work with product owners to maintain a ready and groomed sprint backlog.
Facilitate sprint planning, review, daily scrum, refinement meetings, and retrospectives at the team level.
- Supporting Scrum Masters: Provide support and guidance to Scrum Masters, assisting with impediment resolution and improving team performance.
Participate and facilitate Scrum of Scrums.
- Leader and Mentor: Act as a leader and mentor for Scrum Masters within the organization, helping them develop their skills and capabilities.
Provide coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to enhance their understanding and application of Scrum practices.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Facilitate coordination between multiple Scrum teams, particularly in large-scale projects or programs.
Manage dependencies within the sprint team and from other development or operations teams.
Act as a facilitator for communication and collaboration among teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
- Monitoring Progress: Track the progress of Scrum teams, ensuring they meet their goals and deliver value.
Coordinate timely response and support to production line customer issues while maintaining adherence to SLAs.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met and to communicate the Scrum process benefits.
Provide regular sprint status updates to stakeholders at a fixed cadence.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to reflect on processes and make necessary adjustments.
Drive organizational change and cultivate agile thinking.
- Training and Development: Organize and conduct training sessions for Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to enhance their understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies.
Serve as an Agile coach for marketing teams and promote adherence to Agile best practices in marketing.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key metrics to assess Scrum effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts within and between teams to prevent them from impeding progress.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience:
- 7-9 years of marketing experience, with 3-4 years in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.
- Large/enterprise experience using Agile methodologies preferred but not required.
- Several years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in similar roles.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, task definition, and other Agile terminology.
- Situational Awareness: Proactively notice issues and resolve them before escalating to management.
- Conflict Resolution: Skilled in resolving conflicts and removing impediments.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams in agile practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication.
- Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Understand and empathize with team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
- Quick Learner: Ability to rapidly understand the technical and business domains of the development team.
- Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Tools & Certifications:
- Experience with Wrike is preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, ICP-ACC).
