Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify potential customers including exporters importers freight forwarders and shipping lines to generate business for the CFS Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs and providing suitable logistics solutions Client Acquisition Identify target and acquire new clients including shipping lines freight forwarders importers and exporters Sales Strategy Execution Develop sales strategies to achieve short- and long-term revenue goals Lead marketing campaigns and promotional activities Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets for the CFS Market Analysis Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer preferences to identify business threats and opportunities Pricing Quotation Prepare competitive quotations and negotiate pricing with clients while ensuring profitability with strategic Rate Cards Coordination Work closely with operations customer service and documentation teams to ensure seamless execution of services Reporting Generate regular sales reports forecasts and present performance updates to management Presentation of Sales Reporting Prepare and present regular sales reports forecasts and performance analysis to senior management Contract Negotiation Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company Customer Service addressing customer feedback Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Collaboration Work closely with operations and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction Networking Attend industry events conferences and trade shows to network and generate leads Team Leadership If applicable Manage and mentor junior sales staff providing guidance and support to achieve team goals Overview Responsibilities Maintain continuous and consistent rapport with all heads of shipping lines in location Including knowledge of influencers of business and continuous engagement with them to secure container business into the CFS Establish rapport with the CHA community to ensure that business flow into the CFS from their customers is continuous and unhindered Identify approach and convert CHA s whose business is currently being performed at other CFS Have ability to source data pertaining to import and export activity and to approach customers or influencers who will then need to be approached for conversion of volumes into the CFS Responsible for the profitability per TEU and achieving budgeted numbers through analysis of market and disruptive strategy Close contact with the terminals and ports in the area and establish first contact for En-block and other possibilities for influencing business Engage with all existing customers directly and indirectly through the marketing team by setting schedules for interactions and ensuring stickiness of customers Closely co-ordinate with HOD of other departments to ensure customer satisfaction Drive the marketing resources assigned by engaging with them on targets calls maintenance and conversions Ensure pipeline of customers always being made available to bring the volumes to the budgeted numbers in the CFS Identify critical customer s list cargo more than 500TEU per month and prepare contingency plans for such customers volumes Strategy for these customer s needs and business to be continuously updated and reviewed Maintain analytics of customer service requests and identify and engage with other departments to resolve permanently recurring issues Ensure usage of CRM and other Business support systems for transparency and single view Responsible for receivables from credit customers and for maintaining the DSO within the target set for the location Engage with all customers to leverage the various capabilities of our client and also Engage closely with other verticals in our client so as to actively contribute to the cross selling function in the region Chalk out a viable container load plan Obtain and consolidate LCL shipments for export De-consolidate the container at destination CFS Then dispatch the shipment for delivery Loading and unloading of containers Assign specific marks and seals to the containers for identification purposes Arranging and rearranging empty containers from container yards Managing transportation of laden containers to corresponding port or terminal Keeping an account of containers before after shipping and sort accordingly Regular maintenance and timely servicing of the containers Overlooking the customs clearance procedures while ensuring the goods are kept safe until shipped or picked up Utilizing free spaces to become a temporary storage facility for cargo Receipt and consolidation of cargo for LCL shipments Disassemble shipping containers at the final destination and send out shipments Load pack and unpack shipping containers Identify and label containers for easy tracking Manage cargo both empty and loaded containers during transit Transport empty and loaded containers between container yards CY and the port terminal Prepare and count containers for shipment involving stacking sorting tracking and tallying Maintain and repair containers Deliver transportation services between terminals and ports via road or rail Store goods safely until they can be picked up or delivered Handle unorganized non-containerized cargo break bulk and rail traffic to and from the port or terminal s surrounding area Qualifications Experience Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain or related field Existing network of contacts in the logistics and shipping industry Proven experience in sales preferably in the logistics shipping or freight forwarding industry Strong understanding of CFS operations customs procedures and international trade Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients Analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in sales tools Self-motivated results-oriented and able to work independently 5 years of experience in sales preferably in the freight or logistics industry Proven track record of achieving sales targets Candidates from CFS Freight Forwarding Supply Chain Solutions Warehousing and Distribution Selling would be suitable for this position Key Skills Competencies Strong understanding of logistics freight forwarding and container yard operations Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills Strategic thinking and result-oriented approach Proficiency in
