Officer - Logitics

Responsibilities

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Dispatch execution planning

  • Follow up with transporters for vehicle placements as per issued plan
  • Coordinate with transporters and security for vehicle gate in
  • Loading of trucks as per planning issued and pending orders
  • Maintain shift dispatch target
  • Loading coordination

Operational Excellence

  • Document/ capacity validation for truck master entry of the vehicle in minimum time to maintain TAT
  • Correct product, quantity, grade loading & seal check of container
  • Truck load /release with all valid documents after checking
  • Trucks inspections / acceptance as per contract terms
  • Truck release with proper lashing and tarpaulin
  • Timely communication of vendors CHA / others for shipping bill filing and other related documents for movement of vehicles
  • Focus full capacity of truck space utilization with product mix Loading
  • Daily material physical inventory check

Budgetary Controls

  • Freight calculation, freight entry against mapped trucks
  • Multiple point delivery planning with least additional costs
  • Vehicle loading to keep minimum use of consumables used for dispatch & minimizing waste

Compliance / Safety

  • Implementing compliance with respect to statutes, quality certification norms, health, safety, and environment norms
  • Monitoring compliances with respect to statutes and HSE norms with respect to contractual manpower deployed within the premises for logistics operations.
  • Adherence to Safety, issue of E -permits, MOCs and SOPs

Customer-centricity

  • Liaising with customer / marketing officials / depot team and transporters
  • Maximize OTIF for direct customer orders.
  • Response time on complaints booked – Immediate.

Sustainability and Process Improvement

  • Innovate and implement re-using of things without compromising on quality, reduce costs.
  • Participating in Kaizen and other such improvement initiatives
  • Implementing 5S and good housekeeping in the department
  • Partnering creation and maintenance of Green Belt
  • People development and engagement
  • Conduct daily safety talk with workers to enhance safety awareness.
  • Ensure house keeping and 5S in the work area / office
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree / Diploma / Master's degree in Supply Management
  • 5 years in Similar operations
  • SAP knowledge is mandate.
