Software Engineering Lead Analyst - Data Analyst Position Summary Evernorth a leading Health Services company is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics organization In this role you will be responsible for implementing AtScale as a semantic layer and collaborating with various business units to build their semantic layers empowering self-service analytics across different tools and data sources Strong collaboration skills are essential as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and utilization of the semantic layer This position requires fluency in critical technologies a hunger to learn and a strong sense of ownership and accountability Responsibilities Collaborate with Business stakeholders to understand key metrics KPIs business definitions translating them into a logical data model Create and maintain dimensional models that represent business concepts in a structured queryable format Develop and Manage metadata to ensure consistent definitions of business terms hierarchies and calculations across the organizations Develop semantic models using Atscale to define reusable business logic calculations and aggregations Ensure semantic layer integrates seamlessly with BI tolls like Tableau Power BI ThoughtSpot for reporting dashboards and self service analytics Design intuitive data models and views that allow non-technical users to query data without needing to understand underlying complexities Ensure semantic layer can handle growing data volumes and user concurrency Implement role based access control and data security policies to restrict access based on user roles or sensitivity of data Partner with business analysts data scientists and executives to gather requirements and validate the semantic layers functionality Create and maintain documentation for the semantic layer including data models business definitions and usage guides Train business users on how to leverage the semantic layer for self-service analytics and reporting Provide ongoing support for resolving issues related to data access query performance or model accuracy Qualifications Required Experience Skills 8 to 11 years of overall Engineering experience 3-5 years of Experience with data platforms such as databricks snowflake 3-5 years of experience in Python PySpark SparkSQL Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to transform and aggregate data Good Understanding of indexing partitioning and query execution Experience in building semantic layer using atscale dbt ucmetrics or similar Familiar with BI tools like tableau Power BI Thoughspot to integrate semantic layer for end user consumption Experience in Dimensional modelling and relational database concepts Preferred Experience Skills 2 years being part of Agile teams - Scrum or Kanban Experience with GitHub Jenkins Experience with cloud technologies like AWS Troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills Fluent in BDD and TDD development methodologies Familiarity with AI ML concepts and workflows Location Hours of Work Full-time position working 40 hours per week Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad India in a hybrid working model 3 days WFO and 2 days WAH Equal Opportunity Statement Evernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity equity and inclusion efforts to educate inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations About Evernorth Health Services Evernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group creates pharmacy care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people Join us in driving growth and improving lives
