At Benne we serve food we love — with honesty, warmth, and heart. About This Role We're looking for a passionate Pastry Chef who appreciates tradition keeping in mind our heritage and routes. As part of a growing startup, you’ll have the opportunity to produce dessert offerings from the ground up and shape a unique culinary identity that complements Benne’s heritage Bangalore experience. Key Responsibilities - Execute a limited dessert menu that aligns with Benne’s ethos—rooted in tradition, crafted with creativity. - Prepare a variety of Indian desserts with a little bit of creativity applying halwai skills as well as pastry while maintaining consistent quality and scale. - Ensure high standards of hygiene, kitchen organization, and food safety (FSSAI compliance). - Manage daily production and inventory. - Train and guide junior staff and contribute to building kitchen processes for a fast-growing startup. - Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams for menu launches, events and brand initiatives. Requirements - Diploma/Degree in Bakery & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality. - 1–2 years of experience in pastry roles (restaurant, bakery, hotel, or café). - Strong foundation in pastry techniques with a flair for creative, culturally inspired desserts. - Ice cream experience is a bonus. - Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a hands-on approach. - Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and an eye for presentation. - Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills. - A calm, people-first approach and genuine love for hospitality 💛 Compensation Negotiable, based on experience.
