Job Description
As a Category Business Partner you will be an expert in digital marketing, with deep expertise in retail media, specializing in strategy development, market analysis, and growth opportunity identification. You will focus on continuous improvement, product enhancement, and empowering teams to achieve high-quality results. You will be leading cross-functional collaborations to execute Joint and Annual Business Plans (JBP & ABP), ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. In this role you will help team members foster strong client relationships, delivering tailored digital marketing solutions, and mentoring teams to enhance performance and client engagement. Skilled in driving campaign optimization, you will track key performance metrics and utilizing data insights to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight:
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with TMs to be an active participant during Joint Business Plans and Annual Business Plans with PSG
- Partner with the team to track JBP and ABP execution, address challenges, and drive brainstorming for solutions.
Client Consultation:
- Act as the primary point of contact within the category, understanding advertiser needs and objectives.
- Build expert consultation on digital marketing strategies and campaign execution.
- Mentor TMs on client consultation best practices and increase client engagement
Collaboration with Product Teams:
- Partner with product teams to enhance the media offerings, ensuring they meet client needs and market demands.
- Contribute to the development of new products or features based on team needs, client feedback and market insights.
- Escalate and follow up on product issues impacting the larger team.
Team Mentorship:
- Coach and mentor team members and new hires on process, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
- Provide training and support on tools, digital marketing and Roundel best practices.
- Help TMs hone their story telling skills for improved upsell
Campaign Management:
- Monitor campaign health dashbaords and oversee teams/category level KPI Metrics and performance
- Monitor team Quality assurance scores and mentor team members to improve the audit scores
- Monitory category performance to ensure there are no impression stuffing and TMs are taking action on reports and action items from SME's and Different Initiatives
- leverage seasonal moments to drive performance
- Mentor TMs to improve upsell pitches and wins
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular performance reports for clients, highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations.
- Use data analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Help prepare for Biweekly partner meetings for the vertical
Troubleshooting:
- Raise Tickets for bugs in products, in partnership with team members.
- Escalate and communicate issues that affect the broader team.
About You:
Skills
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and analytics, particularly in retail media.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information to clients and team members.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and delivering solutions.
