Job Summary The Senior Resident in Radiology is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services interpreting radiological examinations and assisting in interventional procedures The role involves clinical training academic research and teaching responsibilities for junior residents and medical students Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays CT scans MRI ultrasound and fluoroscopy Assist in image-guided interventional procedures such as biopsies drainages and vascular interventions Ensure timely and accurate reporting of radiological findings Collaborate with clinicians to provide diagnostic insights and contribute to patient management Supervise and guide junior residents and technicians in performing radiological procedures Academic Research Responsibilities Participate in departmental teaching activities case discussions and journal clubs Conduct and contribute to clinical research and academic publications Engage in continuous medical education CME programs and workshops Assist in the preparation of academic presentations and case reports Administrative Responsibilities Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure adherence to quality control standards Assist in departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of radiological equipment
