Job Description Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Product Owner to join our Digital Product Management team. This role is pivotal in driving the development and enhancement of digital insurance products and platforms. The ideal candidate will operate with minimal supervision, take full ownership of the product lifecycle, and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technology team. Key Responsibilities: Product Ownership & Strategy - Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for digital insurance products (e.g., customer portals, agent apps, policy servicing tools). - Translate business goals into product features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria. - Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, claims, sales, marketing, and compliance to gather requirements and align product goals. - Act as the voice of the customer and business within the development team. - Present product updates, roadmaps, and performance metrics to senior leadership. Agile Delivery - Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews. - Work closely with Scrum Masters, UX/UI designers, and developers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. - Make real-time decisions on scope and priorities during development cycles. Customer-Centric Innovation - Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for innovation. - Drive digital adoption and enhance customer experience through intuitive and scalable product features. Compliance & Risk Awareness - Ensure all digital products comply with IRDAI regulations and internal risk frameworks. - Work with legal and compliance teams to incorporate necessary checks and balances. Key Skills & Competencies: - Strong understanding of the Indian insurance landscape (Life, Health, or General Insurance). - Proven experience in digital product development and Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions. - Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and analytics platforms. - Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA is a plus. - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification. - Experience working in a digital-first or insurtech environment is highly desirable.
