About The Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the capacity of a Real Estate and Lease Portfolio Manager based in Mumbai, India. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our extensive real estate portfolio, ensuring contractual compliance, and mitigating financial and operational risks. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to facilitate seamless lease administration, payment processing, and contractual adherence. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our real estate operations, supporting our growth objectives in the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China regions. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance, real estate, or a related field. A minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated experience in commercial real estate, lease administration, or portfolio management within industrial, commercial, or data center environments is essential. Candidates should have prior experience managing large, global real estate portfolios and proficiency with commercial real estate software platforms such as Tango, Oracle, or similar systems. Strong stakeholder management skills, cultural agility, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams are crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience with colocation or data center lease management, a proven track record of process improvements, and familiarity with accounting standards like GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Review, audit, and process contractual payments in accordance with internal policies and contractual terms to ensure compliance with landlord/vendor agreements.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of results across multiple teams.
- Onboard new landlords/vendors and track payment setup to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
- Interpret complex commercial contract language related to obligations, service level agreements, rent, taxes, insurance, and maintenance clauses.
- Review contractual documentation and abstract critical information to support accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Lead process enhancement projects aimed at optimizing payment workflows and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage contractual risks, ensuring adherence to legal and financial standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues related to payments, contracts, and compliance.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to facilitate strategic decision-making.
