and we re looking for talented people who want to help You ll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles You ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers And you ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion The Amazon Data Centre Engineering Operation DCEO team is seeking a strong technical expert in electrical mechanical control and firefighting system as a DCEO Facility Manager in India Infra operation team Responsibilities of the Facility Manager for India region are to support ADSIPL within its owned and operated Data Centers in India This position will provide a central point of ownership and accountability for the overall hands-on management of the Mechanical Electrical M E and across ADSIPL s portfolio of Data Centers in India This position will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the critical infrastructure supporting IT operations within the Indian Data Center space It will also include event management incident management problem management change management and cost contract management In addition this will include the relationship management with the landlords critical facility vendors Data Center Construction team Data Center Operations team Technical Program Managers Security team and Logistics team in India The position will require 24x7 on-call scheduled weekend work support and managing rotational shift Key job responsibilities A Data Center Operations Manager holds a critical leadership position overseeing multiple availability zones typically managing 2-4 data center locations and a team of at least six direct reports including shift engineers technicians and chief engineers This role combines strategic facility management with hands-on technical oversight of critical infrastructure systems The manager ensures optimal performance of essential systems including switchgear generators UPS systems and cooling equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability They are responsible for both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning including facility build-outs efficiency improvements and capacity management The position requires strong leadership skills to manage remote teams coordinate with IT managers and business leaders and oversee vendor relationships Financial acumen is essential for conducting analyses managing assets and contributing to business decisions The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication abilities superior organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining exceptional service standards while driving accountability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement They should possess deep technical expertise in data center operations and best practices combined with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals About the team Amazon values diverse experiences Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description we encourage candidates to apply If your career is just starting hasn t followed a traditional path or includes alternative experiences don t let it stop you from applying Why AWS Amazon Web Services AWS is the world s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating -
