A Day in the Life
To achieve territory growth targets for Suture therapies in Hospitals & referral centers and educating the Nursers and support groups.
- To execute strategic sales activities undertaken as part of a Business Planning model.
- Provide surgical coverage, Case support for Suture, product and therapy training and education to new and existing centers and leverage customer contact to grow the existing business/accounts.
- To ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards are maintained about its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.- Responsible for achieving sales target in terms of product units and revenue and increase total company market share in assigned territory.- Support in creating and implementing an annual business plan with quarterly updates.- Ensure coverage of all accounts based on customer segmentation within territory in agreement with the manager to maintain optimum level of exposure.- Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities.- Satisfy customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and to advise Sales Manager promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority.
SALES PROFESSIONAL CAREER STREAM: Typically sales professional individual contributors with direct sales responsibilities. May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and / or accounts involving multiple team members. The majority of time is spent establishing and maintaining customer relationships, developing new customer relationships, implementing sales strategies and closing sales.

Works with sales, marketing and finance to structure complex contracts.
Innovation and Complexity: Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in sales processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
Recommends changes in account tactics to achieve sales goals.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Communication and Influence: May influence parties within own job function at an operational level.
Obtains or provides information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
Communicates with external customers and / or vendors, involving negotiation and / or presentations in order to manage relationships and close sales.
Leadership and Talent Management: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
May provide guidance and assistance to entry level sales professionals and / or support employees.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge gained through experience of sales techniques and job area typically obtained through education combined with sales experience.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Learns to use professional concepts Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
B Pharma/B Sc (Any Sciences)/BE
- MBA would be preferred
- Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
- At least 1- 4years sales experience in a technical and dynamic environment.
- Experience in delivering health related in-service or similar type training and education
- Proven sales and negotiations experience
- Success in developing new markets
- Experience in making multiple sales calls on a daily basis
- Willing to travel extensively
