**Position overview**:
as a retail sales executive specializing in fmcg, you will be responsible for driving sales and maximizing revenue within our retail channels. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with retailers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the fmcg sector, ensuring that our products are prominently featured and effectively promoted to consumers.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail partners, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and specialty retailers, to drive sales and increased market penetration.
- Execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives within assigned territories or accounts.
- Conduct regular visits to retail outlets to assess product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with distributors and wholesalers to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of products to retail stores.
- Train retail staff on product features, benefits, and selling techniques to enhance product knowledge and drive sales.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and in-store activations to drive consumer engagement and sales.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, market data, and performance metrics to track progress and identify opportunities for growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote our brand and build relationships with key stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail sales, preferably within the fmcg industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and building relationships with retail partners.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and promotional activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving targets and delivering results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (word, excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with sales tracking software or crm systems.
