Departmental Activity:
Issuing tickets: The executive is responsible for issuing airline tickets to customers according to their travel requirements and preferences. They must ensure accuracy in the issuance of tickets and comply with airline and IATA regulations.

Reservation confirmation: The executive should confirm customer reservations and provide them with the necessary travel documents, including e-tickets, boarding passes, and visa information.

Customer service: A ticketing executive IATA should provide excellent customer service, answer customer inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints related to ticketing or travel arrangements.

Payment processing: The executive should collect payments from customers and process credit card transactions according to the established procedures.

Coordination: The executive should coordinate with airlines and other travel service providers to ensure smooth travel arrangements for customers. This may include rebooking or rescheduling flights and accommodating customer requests for travel upgrades or special services.

Record-keeping: The executive should maintain accurate records of customer transactions, bookings, and payments using the airline and IATA ticketing systems.

Compliance: A ticketing executive IATA should be aware of all legal and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with them. Organisational Activity:
Sales: A travel executive IATA and GDS is responsible for selling travel packages to customers using GDS software. They need to be able to identify customer needs and preferences and offer them suitable travel packages.
Itinerary planning: The executive is responsible for planning and organizing
Marketing: The executive should participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract more customers and increase sales.
Record-keeping: The executive should maintain accurate records of customer transactions, bookings, and payments.
Compliance: A travel executive IATA should be aware of all legal and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with them.
Training: The executive should keep up-to-date with the latest travel trends and developments and attend training sessions to improve their knowledge and skills.
