**Position Title**:Associate Buyer

**Reports To**:Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

**Date**: June 2023

**Position Summary**
The buyer executes an expenditure for materials and/or services to support the company's purchasing programs. The buyer is responsible for procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards.
The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt, and maintaining MRP system documentation and updates. This position is based out of c3controls’ India location, c3IA.

**Buying**:

- Support the determination of purchasing needs, analyze quotes and bids for suitability, cost and product availability o Monitor all open purchase orders including confirmation of receipt o Place purchase orders per c3controls standard purchase processes o Identify order delays and work with suppliers and c3controls team for expedite options, implement solutions within guidelines o Work with multi-national suppliers and manufacturing locations o Negotiate deals with suppliers, as well as identifying cost-reduction opportunities, communicating them to management, and working with suppliers to realize those savings o Reconcile Accounts Payable inquiries o Maintain accurate vendor and department files to ensure immediate and accurate access to information

**Scheduling**:

- Support the scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of intercompany shipments between manufacturing locations including the preparation of documents, such as commercial invoices and bills of lading, as well as coordination with freight organizations for material.

**Inventory**:

- Support inventory accuracy and management in alignment with company practices and policies, including but not limited to cycle counting, physical inventory counts, and auditing of purchase orders / invoices. o Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing product.

**Miscellaneous**:

- Acts as a good steward of the Company’s resources (human, financial, equipment, knowledge) and exemplifies the values of the Company. o Support project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
- Complete status reports for supply progress, open orders, and raw material inventory.

**Supervisory Responsibility**
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Required Education/Experience**:

- Associate’s degree with a business emphasis. o Work experience as purchasing clerks, junior buyers or assistant buyers is preferable

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others. o Strong organizational and communication skills. o Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines. o Strong computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Suite technology o Ability to learn new software quickly and utilize it efficiently o Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems. o Ability to read and interpret internal communications and common documents. o Ability to talk with others to convey information effectively. o Demonstrate personal time management skills. o Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role.

**Position Type, Expected Hours of Work**
This is a full-time position, 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

**Travel**
Limited travel expected.
