Job summary

Amazon has been in the music business for more than 20 years (CDs were the second item sold on Amazon, after books) and has long-established trust with both customers and the industry. Amazon Music launched music streaming in 2014, initially as a benefit just for Prime members (formerly known as Prime Music). Since then, it has expanded into a full streaming service, offering a variety of tiers, content, and plans to customers in more than 40 countries around the world. Amazon Music currently has more than 55 million customers globally, and today is considered the third largest streaming service after Spotify (1st) and Apple Music (2nd). Key marketplaces for Amazon Music include US, UK, DE, JP, FR, IT, ES, MX, BR, CA, and AU.

Amazon Music offers four tiers of service: Prime members have access to ad-free listening of 2 million songs at no additional cost to their membership. Any music fan—Prime member or not—may also subscribe to the Unlimited tier, which provides access to more than 70 million songs, or Amazon Music HD, a new tier of the highest quality streaming audio that offers more than 70 million songs in High Definition and a growing catalog of 3D Audio. Customers also have access to a free, ad-supported tier—no subscription required.

In terms of content, Amazon Music has launched key offerings with podcasts, livestreaming, videos, and exclusive catalog music (i.e. AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, etc.). Podcasts can be listened to through the updated Amazon Music app, on the web, or on Amazon Echo devices. Echo devices will search Amazon Music by default and will remember where listeners left off, regardless of what platform they use to listen. Livestreaming, powered by a partnership with Twitch (Amazon company), allows artists to perform for fans during this virtual time. Videos are currently live on Fire TV and will launch within the larger Amazon Music experience this year.

Key job responsibilities
- The Primary responsibility of the role is to perform marketing activities to improve visibility.
- Associate need to continuously adapt and learn new features on the Editors and improve.
- Associate has to follow editing SOP to spot/catch errors in the content.
- Associate need to perform content quality check to qualify user experience for content viewing.
- The associate will need to be aware of the operations metrics like productivity (Number of titles processed per hour), quality and delivery SLA. The associate will be measured on his compliance to these Metrics, SLA requirements, QA guidelines, team and personal goals.
- Associate should be a team player and come up with improvement ideas to his direct report and improve the editing/QA process.
- The associate will need to often contact stakeholders globally to provide status reports, communicate relevant information and escalate when needed.
- The role requires a graduate degree with exposure to MS office and comfort with numbers.
- In addition the associate should have attention to detail, good communication skills, and a professional demeanor.
