Introduction:
The purpose of the Barclays CBE SA Portfolio team is to:

- Optimisation of Risk-Reward: End-to-end ownership of Test and Learn - Evaluation of initial investment proposal, aligning with stakeholders, obtaining approval from the associated governance fora, ensuring accurate implementation, tracking performance during test lifecycle and concluding on test success criteria at the end of the test.
- Support and lead the development, tracking and review of business strategies, financial plans and operational performance within the Board approved Risk Appetite
- Collaborate with cross functional areas in the analytical solutions for PnL analytical solutions
- Develop data, analytics and financial assets, capabilities, products and services to support the analytical advancement in data driven solutions and the culture of high performance
- Support and lead the development and maintenance of customer underwriting strategies across products and channels consistent with policy, standard and governance requirements
- Monitor financial, operational and portfolio performance controls to achieve Risk Return objectives within defined threshold; tracking performance relative to expectation, YoY, forecast, plan and industry benchmarks

What will you be doing?
- Providing best in class analytics, transforming high level requests into focussed and specific analysis
- Responsible for monthly BAU reporting and control activity
- Working effectively with peers and management team to achieve shared business objectives
- Presenting and communicating results to Senior Management and driving stakeholder discussions
- Identifying new opportunities for enhancing/streamlining services
- Formulating opportunities into proposals, sharing with the manager and implementing

What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s Degree in an empirical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Maths, Physics, etc.)
- Working knowledge of consumer financial products
- Ability to generate insights from data, assess the commercial / financial impact and recommend action, to find innovative ways to solve analytical problems and the ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge and effective use of analytical tools including SQL and SAS. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills with ability to translate insight into a coherent story
- Working knowledge and experience of credit risk management in consumer lending gained at a Bank or Financial Institution
- Strong attention to detail, and a real commitment to delivering high quality outputs which are right first time
