**Role**: Shared Service Specialist

**No. of Position**: 1

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

- Import trial balances and other financial information into audit software and prepare financial statements and other reports while identifying client accounting issues to be addressed by the engagement team.
- Examine and analyze accounting records and other financial and tax information to determine the accuracy of the information and prepare specific work papers documenting the work performed and results obtained.
- Examine company payroll and personnel records.
- Prepare contracts and other standard communications related to client engagements.
- Analyze investment valuations as compared to third-party data sources.
- May assist in the preparation of tax work papers, business income tax returns, and other filings.
- Obtain large amounts of disparate client financial information, analyze information, and prepare schedules and reports detailing out the nature of the financial information including summaries, trends, anomalies, and other attributes as deemed relevant.
- When performing day to day activities and assignments, you must be able to:

- Provide support with a sense of urgency, meeting all deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and using a high level of attention to detail.
- Interact with staff in various time zones in both domestic and international locations.
- Delivering the highest quality of service using superior comprehension skills, responsiveness, empathy, confidence, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Resolving problems by partnering with internal Firm clients to clarify issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved or complex problems.
- Managing and taking ownership of workload and accepting additional client requests with a positive attitude.
- Additional assignments are being identified regularly and this position involves assisting in the development of them into regular assignments.
- Must be able to adapt skills to companies across many industries; examples include real estate, pension plans, investment funds, not for profit, manufacturing, distribution, services, healthcare, municipalities, and higher education.
- Opportunities to participate in many of the same training programs as our US-based engagement teams

**The qualifications**:

- Graduate (B.Com), Post Graduate (M.Com)

**Experience**:

- 1 to 2 years’ experience with focus in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Freshers can also apply
- Knowledge with GAAP would be a plus but is not required

**Skills, Knowledge & Abilities**:

- Think analytically to respond to complex inquiries
- Ability to identify and resolve audit, tax, and other accounting issues
- Highly motivated and take ownership of personal and professional growth and development
- English proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to use a variety of resources to learn new tasks
- Proofreading and attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Ability to easily adapt to changes and challenges
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus
- Capacity to work within a team environment and assist peers as needed
- Some overtime and weekend work is required
